@mozilla@mastodon.social what the hell, mozilla? I already checked the "block AI enhancements" button (which should be the default....) and yet this showed up while I was doing a search. You've heard it before, surely, but this new AI slop direction is really disappointing.
I want to use Firefox! I hate Chrome! But you keep doing this!

Hey @sundogplanets@mastodon.social, your goat photos are so cute 🥺 thanks for sharing them!
I've been showing them to my partner and she asked what happens to them when they grow up, and I realized I did not know... so where do they go?

@regehr i don't see anything interesting here
they didn't do anything besides give money to anthropic in exchange for extremely inefficient fuzzing

@k @MastodonEngineering @moshidon Last I checked, moshidon is based on the official app, and has the same bug. Perhaps with the rewrite it'll be fixed? :)

@neckspike@indiepocalypse.social @bigducky@mastodon.social @cwebber@social.coop @spritely@social.coop have you seen the docker compose file for Stoat? It's absolutely massive
Replying to on social.coop
@cwebber@social.coop @spritely@social.coop Its so frustrating that all the other replacements should be good options, but they're not because they either don't work or have a difficult to use UX. If you end up doing this please make it usable 😭

@stefano@mastodon.bsd.cafe The true horror part of this story:
The office was closed for the holidays, but I contacted the IT manager anyway. He was home sick with a serious family issue, but he got moving.
Home for the holidays, sick, serious family issue?? Who cares! You know what's more important?? Keeping that data center up and running!
Glory to sacrificing yourself for the system!!
Or maybe get someone else next time.

when you write test case error messages so well you want the tests to fail just so you can see them:
