• actually work on your images - sometimes for hours - instead of posting raw images produced by generator

... still get suspended on AI slop grounds. Guess mastodon.social is another instance where "freedom of speech" is just a PR buzzword and not actual thing.

I love the recent sensationalist "news" of C64 disk drive (actually it was compatible with more than just that, but let's leave that aside for now) is "powerful enough to be a computer". Guys, that's not news. It has the same CPU as Commodore 64 and had 16KB of ROM and 2KB of RAM and its ROM (firmware) had means for programming the RAM using the serial bus it used.

And they even made it bit-bang the video signal in the "Freespin" demo:

Mastodon slowly turns to another Facebook-style ragebait cesspool. I don't follow global feeds - just lurking occasionally - but I see the shift in posts quality. Latest example - "USA gave green light to Reflect Orbital to put their orbital mirrors in the Earth's orbit, to make sun access subscription based". What's the reality? USA's FCC gave permission to operate Reflect Orbital's radios in the non-geostationary satellite orbit on SOS and SRS frequencies.

Why #vivaldi suddenly stopped treating their users like adults?
I go to a website without TLS. I type "http://.." in URL bar because I mean it. Vivaldi "upgrades" that to "https://" and fails with connection timed out - even if relevant option is disabled.
