This is part sub-toot, part observation and part my own experience...
I've found Mastodon to be a really vibrant, exciting, engaging, diverse and inspirational platform. BUT, if a person doesn't interact with others on here, they will miss out on a lot!
It's definitely the best platform I've been a part of, because of the people here, the tools available, and the structure of the fediverse as a whole.
But... you DO need to engage to get the best experience.

Seriously, I should do an AMA about how AI has affected me, as an independent creator. I think there’s a lot that people just don’t realise!

We are told to be more sustainable, fly less, drive less, but then we see multiple private jets ferrying the 1% around the world, all while investing in planet destroying technologies.

I just don't want to see interviews with AI CEOs, Sam Altman telling people how awesome it is, or Elon Musk doing whatever the ***k he's doing.
It's like some kind of crypto bro capitalistic virus invading what is very much an indie space.

@AncTreat5358@lgbtqia.space The oat milk just adds a bit of extra moisture to the scramble. The powder was just because I wanted to see if it would work lol… which it did. Tofu is already pretty protein-rich, so it was just a small boost :)

@randulo@mastodon.social Oh totally! I get that, people who do that at least need to follow a few accounts to get that experience though. I know of people who arrive here, follow 20 or 30 accounts, rarely post anything, and declare it a ghost town a month later lol.
