I just posted a huge update to Slowclap and amongst other things (including a complete visual overhaul) I also wrote an AI policy. https://slowcl.app/handcrafted I know this was something we discussed in the past, and kind of formalizes what I was suggesting. Foolishly / optimistically I’m somewhat hoping “handcrafted” (and 🫰) can see wider reach beyond slowclap and become an easy way to draw a cohesive line between people using AI and it using them. Curious if you have feedback!

@neatnik@social.lol hey, would you be adverse to me putting a link to omg.lol somewhere on slowcl.app as a resource for people looking to get started building on the open web? I’m hoping as the platform continues growing to use it to encourage more people to share stuff outside of the influence of the big tech platforms and it seems like a really accessible way for people to do that.

@neatnik@social.lol sorry I’m days late to this and also not a customer, but my concern would be that even this is murky. Is having and LLM outline a blog post and then rewriting in your own words worthy of the hashtag? Is passing it through an editing tool with AI features like Hemingway? The issue I’d be concerned with here is there’s such a negative stigma around AI generated content that often doesn’t allow for nuance, and in my experience the problematic content is always easy to identify.
