What with major airlines canceling some flights at the last minute and delaying others so it's impossible to catch a connecting flight, I guess their long-term strategy is to broom out their middle-class customers and cater exclusively to the ultra-wealthy. @yiningkarlli I know only a few signs in ASL, so I'm curious to know how you handled the Spanish phrases like "mi vida." Literal translation to the sign for "my life," ASL for "sweetheart" or "my love," or Colombian sign language for that phrase only? Or maybe something entirely different I haven't taken into consideration?

@czarbucks@vmst.io I don't know if there's as much of a widespread disinformation crisis in medicine happening outside the United States, but here the skyrocketing cost of medicine, both in the sense of physician visits and various medical interventions, is contributing to that crisis. I'm hearing anecdotally that older people are forgoing cancer screenings because they want to be able to help their children financially, and they know if cancer is detected, every penny they've saved and more will go to treatments that aren't even guaranteed to work. When medicine becomes a luxury, it creates fertile ground for disinformation to take hold.

You know the MAGAs saying "the Trump as AI slop Jesus image was a bridge too far" would have NOTHING to say about it if their gas and groceries were cheap right now.

Reese Witherspoon understands that playing Elle Woods in Legally Blonde doesn't make her an attorney. But Trump doesn't realize that sitting behind the Resolute Desk doesn't make him qualified to be POTUS, nor does it qualify any of the ragtag wastrels straight out of Central Casting that he used to fill his Liquor Cabinet. The entire crew doesn't have the collective capability or intelligence to fill a thimble.
