I know #linuxmint 22.3 just came out, but I want to upgrade only to 22.2 from 22 because 22.3 breaks UI elements I rely on.
How do I do that, since the update manager already only has the option for 22.3.
This was 21.3 this morning. I am VERY slow because my UI is VERY important to me.

Issues:
1) Reputational damage if obviously AI work is published under the union's banner.
2) Potential members/consultees bringing tomes of slop telling them what they want to hear to organisers, who then spend time explaining why the slop is slop and unreliable.
Misinformation was already an issue. This is now 100 times harder.
3) Members engaging with management or colleagues using slop that then cancels out or harms the work of the union, despite the best intentions of the members.

Playinng around with putting Zorin Pro Lite 18.1 on the 2009 MacBook White unibody. Because if it runs on this thing pretty well (and it mostly does), then it'll be just fine on the fleet of 2015-2017 MacBook Airs.
It's pretty decent. It's just unfortunate that I'll definitely have to sitck to the Windows like interface. The supposed MacOS like interface just... isn't good enough.
There are a few UI oddities. But I think that is this ancient Nvidia card.

Like all large and diverse organisations committed to democracy, transparency, and collective action, we have many opinions on the use of LLMs. Including those who do not care and a few, even amongst our leadership, who are pro-LLM.
This is a minority view amongst our leadership, and our membership comes from industries most commonly cited as affected by agentic nonsense.
Hence why this is going to be a draft--it must pass our democratic processes.

That said those of us in leadership and amongst our organisers (some of us are in both groups, I am, but most are one or the other), have found that LLM output is making our jobs much harder. It is just harder to do the work of the union. So we're assuming a baseline of open hostility that we presume will be moderated slightly during the debate process.

That is EXACTLY the plan for the draft policy, as stated in the original toot.
The starting position was going to be "no, none, not at all, never" but as we are a democracy, and one with over 500 members, we cannot guarantee that the ending policy will be no use at all, but by starting at no use at all, we hope that any movement to use will be heavily constrained.
But we are a bottom up organisation. We will not impose policy.

We don't want to be an LLM Union in the sense of the Nazi Bar.
But we rarely have anything get through the democracy without a little alteration, if only because some members want to be contrarian, as is their right.
