Today I explained to some family members how absolutely vile and rotten JKR is. They had no idea. They were happily digesting the HP franchise and giving its creator money for her to sue Amnesty UK and push through anti-trans laws. They were unaware of her male pseudonym RG. Nothing of the sort managed to reach them until I came into the conversation bringing receipts, including the recently banned @amnesty@mastox.eu report. Make sure to inform those you know, because noone else does. #Transgender

The growing dominance of services like Google/Apple Pay and MasterCard/VISA, as opposed to European services held to European standards should be a cause for concern.

@stux@mstdn.social I tried to fill in a survey for a local business today and partway through the survey it told me "please wait while we generate your question based on your previous answers" and it stalled because I block the F* out of generative AI sites by keyword. That might be the model they're referencing? I sent the survey company a strongly worded email in disgust and blocked them from sending me further surveys.

Look at any politician during their election campaign and what they do after they get voted into office. How many of them follow through on their promises to their voters? How many turn around and go do something entirely different? Doesn't matter what they look like if they don't intend to do what they were voted into office for.

It used to have an eel fishing industry when it was still a marsh, but then transformed that into a thriving farming community after poldering started. The local old church was used by the Spanish occupation as a watchtower. Across the bridge over the Old Meuse river lies Hoogvliet, which -is- a part of Rotterdam. Spijkenisse is part of Nissewaard, however.

Some women are just as bad as some men. I've been to some toilets where I'm just flabbergasted that someone could leave such a mess. Either they were never taught proper bathroom etiquette or they simply don't give a hoot.

Riefenstahl and the whole propaganda machine inundated the populace with pro-nazi imagery wherever they could. Had there been cameras integrated in doorbells, dashboard cameras in cars, a camera on just about every street corner, and cameras in people's pockets, they probably would have worn masks.
