@benroyce @ErikUden This all day. The Democratic Party is broken. We get to chose the candidate. If we only nominate progressives, we will see change. It does not matter how much money they throw at the candidates if we actually read the position papers and ignore ads.

@barbra @StarkRG Technical debt is one of the things that drove me out of the industry. When combined with the unwillingness to walk away from sunk costs, the vast majority of my budgets maintained the status quo. This resulted in a lack of progress. When AI arrived I was tasked with creating a shadow data infrastructure to serve the machine. Shadow because I still needed validated systems to actually generate and maintain the data.
I was happily given the severence I requested as I had become insufferable about this topic.

@Nerde@beige.party Those are legally mandated in several regions CNN serves. It is probably most effective if they have one global policy that answers the most restrictive laws.

Not hearing what the Ministry of Truth is saying to everyone else is a bad idea IMHO. There is no algorithm that will force me to get overly influenced by their garbage.

@Gargron@mastodon.social Beautiful! That is how it is supposed to work. I am willing to pay extra for what Apple provides. If it does not work for you or the folks that made so much in the App Store that they pay the full rate, there are many other devices and related stores to sell your stuff. No one is forcing anyone to be an iOS or iPadOS user or developer. Regardless, I am looking forward to all the steep discounts the software houses will provide once their hosting price goes down. It is for the people, after all.

Wednesday: the price of oil rallied higher today as Israel bombs Lebanon and the US says deal is not good enough and that President Trump will be really angry if they pass the next moving deadline. This news will be released late Tuesday night via some sort of Trump/Christ mashup meme.
