Today’s espresso on the patio: 72F/22C, light breeze. High thin haze with the sun illuminating the wildfire smoke below. The smoke, combined with a next door neighbor running an internal combustion pressure washer, make this experience suboptimal. Wah.

Today’s espresso on the patio: 75F/24C. High hazy cloud cover. Calm. Peaceful. Good day to clean out the rain gutters on the house. Dammit.

@odakin@social.vivaldi.net I hope so, too. The establishment is vigorously resisting, though. Those sorts of changes might interfere with collecting money!

@odakin@social.vivaldi.net To be clear: the American politicians don't care very much what the people think, they want money. Their main job seems to be raising campaign funds, first to get elected, then to build up re-election funds, but also so that they can make the required donations to the national parties. Sort of like organized crime.

@odakin@social.vivaldi.net Do you in Japan have this problem of politicians spamming you with messages?

@LilPecan@mastodon.social Interesting. I did not expect her to vouch for them. I will have to revisit the company’s practices.

@LeslieBurns@esq.social This is admirable. I understand why she did so for conciseness, but she surely elided a huge number of snags along the way. A truly daunting project.

@LilPecan @consumablejoy Purchase made! This is another delicious drink! Pretty, too. I will be saving it.
