Since there is not metal in the scan room you can hurl it through the control room window to vent and escape

I also have a BearCat 125 which is great but the ICOM has 3 times the scanning speed. You will hear snippets and you are listing for Low level calls and entry points in the Sidewinder If you hear "500 feet and 500 knots" good things may be coming Depending on where you are you may or may not get good reception either so then its sound and the high level stuff can sound like something coming up the valley Sound Up. This is what it is like and they can be tough to spot inbound

This is a good move by Wisconsin. There is an internal battle going on for the soul of nursing. Groups like the ANA (which seems more and more aligned with hospitals these days) are trying to push the academic nurse agenda vs those of us that feel at the end of the day its that one on one direct contact with our patients that make nursing what it is. While both are needed, the academic side want to dictate how and what bedside nurses do and practice when they cannot even perform the various tasks and procedures they claim to be "experts" on Nursing schools by and large are filled with those that can't so they teach and nurses are coming out of school with skill sets that are little to no help with today's nursing realities.
