Oh good, we've reached the "if I can't have it nobody can" stage of diplomacy.
Talked to my Iranian colleague today. "I talked to my parents this morning; I don't know if it's for the last time or not."
At least the milkweed is going gangbusters
Congrats to the squirrel who got the first ripe strawberry of the season. I hope you and the snail who ate my baby sunflower burn in hades.
LA Metro opened an extension to it's underground subway today. The grand opening was held on the rooftop of the Petersen Automotive Museum.

The photographer took an action shot that made a kid--who was on my kid's soccer team and was so awful several teammates quit soccer--look absolutely ridiculous. My kid and I indulged in some delicious schadenfreude.
I used to work in horse racing. I helped train horses, loaded them into starting gates, analyzed performances, created stallion ads, was a tipster, and so on. Somehow, I always forget big race days are about betting and fashion. #KentuckyDerby
