It’s hard to believe Oracle would not have to pony up early on given its creditworthiness, which was bad even at project inception.

It’s a job specialized enough that even in-town structural firefighters have to be trained for it.

The *only* negative thing IMO with CDs is that with a larger medium, record companies felt the need to fill it up with 15 crap songs plus one good one instead of a focused 7 or 8 song album like before.

Just cancelled Comcast. By phone, because no other practical option besides going to a Comcast store. After politely declining to discuss our reasons for cancellation, I was put on a ten minute spite hold while they chewed bubble gum and waited to push a single button.

It should be illegal to force consumers to do more than push a button on a website to cancel a service.

The datacenter can’t pull from the Columbia because it’s federal, leaving water table depletion the only remaining option.

I have firsthand experience with this, with my parent utterly misbehaving while under care - and honestly I would not blame a facility for one second for dropping them off at a shelter.
