The typical household gas bill has gone up by 33% since April.
Clean renewable energy generation is Scotland's best path to energy security and lower bills.

When we invest in walking, wheeling and cycling infrastructure we transform communities.
Less congestion, less air pollution and safer streets benefits us all. 🙌

This march was designed to spread tensions and hatred, and to intimidate the community and families who live there.
Scotland should not be providing policing resources for sectarian events like this that are called to inflame tensions.

Today we're bringing a vote to deliver a moratorium on hyperscale data centres in Scotland.
The Scottish Parliament will have a simple choice.
MSPs can stand with the communities they represent, protect our environment and our resources.
Or they can fail to act.

When operated at full capacity this data centre would use the energy equivalent to over two million homes.
Its emissions would exceed the legal limit in Dumfries and Galloway by almost double.
This application must be rejected.

With bills constantly on the rise it's time to demand better.
Greens have already secured a £2 bus fare cap for the Highlands and Islands, and in Strathclyde.
We need the £2 bus fare cap to be rolled out across the rest of Scotland now!

The Scottish Parliament backed our motion to boycott, divest from, and sanction Israel.
Yet, there are still companies with links to Israeli war crimes in Palestine getting taxpayer contracts in Scotland. It's time to fully implement the boycott and cancel these contracts.

Earlier today, the First Minister hinted that he would block any hyper-scale AI data centre applications before proper guidance is published. This is a welcome step.
We must ensure that this pause works and that the guidance puts people and planet before tech bro's profits.

If a company has profited from apartheid and genocide, they shouldn't be able to profit here in Scotland.
The Government definitely shouldn't be helping them do so.

Companies complicit in war crimes shouldn't be getting a penny of public money.
Yet, one of the companies profiting from Israel's illegal settlements in the Palestinian West Bank have a £21 million taxpayer funded contract in Scotland.

It's time for the SNP to finally match their words with actions, and fully implement a boycott of Israel.

81 years ago today, a nuclear bomb was dropped on Hiroshima. Three days later, Nagasaki was bombed.
The bombings led to the mass slaughter of innocent civilians.
We must do everything to rid the world of these weapons of indiscriminate mass destruction.🕊️

The future of Scotland must be decided by the people of Scotland.
To make that a reality the power to hold an independence referendum must be devolved to the Scottish Parliament.
Democracy isn't about having a vote whenever Andy Burnham decides.

There are 24 hyperscale data centre applications in Scotland.
If they're all built they'll consume over 1.5 times the peak energy demand of the entire country.
We urgently need a pause to develop a national approach that works for people and planet, not just tech billionaires.

The climate crisis is here.
New fossil fuel drilling won't cut household bills, it won't make our country more energy secure, and it will only worsen the climate emergency.
Scotland needs to invest in clean, green renewables to secure our future.

Andy Burnham's first act as Prime Minister is one of environmental vandalism.
New oil and gas fields won't lower bills. This is a fact.
If we want to lower bills, create jobs, and improve our national security we need serious investment in cheap, clean renewable energy.

Bus fares across Strathclyde are now capped at £2!
Greens secured a £2 cap starting in Highlands and Islands to put money back into people's pockets.
We now need to see the fare cap extended to every corner of Scotland, so bus travel becomes an affordable option for all.

New oil and gas licences:
➡️ will not take a penny off bills
➡️ cannot make us energy secure
➡️ will only accelerate the worsening climate crisis
Words straight from Labour's 2024 manifesto.
So why are they now preparing to approve the Jackdaw and Rosebank developments?

Not only would this criminalise the use of Gaelic in Scottish elections, it would threaten to jail anyone who uses British Sign Language in a campaign video.
At their first whiff of power Reform's priority is to make our democracy less accessible and threaten their political opponents.

Scotland can build a fairer, greener future as a normal independent country.
It's an anti-democratic outrage that the Tories and Labour have joined forces to cast a veto against our parliament.

The SNP have long promised a ban on cruel conversion practices, but time and again they have delayed.
We can't wait for, or trust Westminster to deliver a watertight ban on these abusive practices; we need a Scotland-specific ban now.

The Scottish Government has pledged a "strategic approach" to attracting data centre investment.
This isn't what Scotland needs. We need a pause to protect our power grid and environment. If the current applications are approved they'll consume over 1.5x our entire peak power use.

This is just a glimpse of what's to come without immediate action. It’s time to treat Scotland's wildfire risk as the national emergency it is.
That means investing in prevention, early warning systems, and restoring the natural habitats that make our landscapes more resilient.

The SNP voted for our motion, but since then they have taken no action. It's time for the SNP to stand up to their "critical friends" and implement the boycott. 🏴🇵🇸
