I don't have a problem with change! I just have... like... multiple scripts I can apply in case something fails due to differences or changes. And a separate set of scripts for responding positively to certain kinds of change. And I miiiiiight sometimes go on a rant and start freaking out when confronted with some changes BUT I have a system of dealing with those too and therefore I totally don't have a problem with change.
What the hell is a fault tree.
(Does not apply to all autistics. More likely relatable if you're late-diagnosed and high-masking.)
"Average enby critter uses it/its pronouns" factoid actualy just statistical error. Average enby critter does not use it/its pronouns. Hoard of enby critters belonging to or befriended by @jacel@m.prettyshiny.org the dragon and includes 10,000 enby critters who use it/its pronouns are an outlier adn should not have been counted.
I bought a Medela breast pump. >:3 Hands free. Electric. A very top of the line pump. I have been considering it ever since I saw I could pay in a few instalments instead of all at once.
Will have to see how it works with my fuzz. I might need to shave my tits. That's okay though.
It's not entirely guaranteed I'll be able to induce lactation after my reduction, depends on what they took out. So we'll see if I can do that. But considering how pleasurable the sensation is for me anyways I'm going to enjoy the hell out of this toy either way.
I've been researching what folks most recommend for inducing lactation, soooo. I've had my eye on this for a long time actually. Even before I wanted to try inducing. I follow a couple people who got themselves one of these a year or two ago and I'm like. Hmm. Yes. That sounds fun.
Anyways it should be here on Sunday. If you all promise to be on your best (worst) behaviour I will post photos of it in use.
2SLGBTQIA+ support line shift in 15min! <3 My first in a while. One of many more to come.
So for one of my gaming groups we've been playing the Fallout TTRPG lately. And the one GM ("Controller") started a new game, and in a new book he had you could make an assaultron character. So I made one that is SecUnit/Murderbot coded.
Yeah it's an assaultron and not a protectron but I felt it being a literal murderbot would fit the theme better.
It's been really fun to play. I've never made a character from a pre-existing concept before. None of the folks in the group know MBD or that I use it/its pronouns, but I have been using it/its pronouns for my character. It also doesn't tell anyone its name, it just asks to be called Assaultron.
They have tried to determine if Assaultron is a boy robot or a girl robot because that's what robots in Fallout are like but this has not yielded any success. xD
All it wants is radio/holo plays and comic books.
Anyways I'm having a great time with it.
My fellow facilitators at my job are so nice. I really appreciate as well that I can be openly and authentically myself while doing this job and that helps me to do even better.
I learned some cool stuff about metoidioplasties today that I didn't know before, and it has me... thinking... a lot.
LOL, two for two. Nobody came to the meeting tonight for work either. Oh well! I had a lovely time connecting with the other facilitators, and we're still compensated for our time. My next shift is on this upcoming Sunday and I expect there to be a lot more people attending that one. :ablobfoxbongo:
My roommates are surprised I finished the book so quickly, meanwhile I know I went through it really slowly, I went grocery shopping, I went to bed at a normal for me hour last night, I did some other things today, plus while I was reading I was taking notes of my reactions to everything and lines I liked and then every few chapters I posted to some liveblogging threads in one of the MBD Discords I'm in. xD
Now I'm halfway through the audiobook. I might listen to it one or two more times before doing the full cycle again. I mostly only listen to it while going to bed and just after I get up in the mornings, so I can actually go focus on other things. xD But today I have been dedicating so much time to The Book.
Tomorrow I have to do some Tasks mostly over the phone, a little bit of emailing. And Thursday I am very busy, psychiatrist and volunteering on the support line and working.
I'm so glad I took today to dedicate entirely to Book. :'3
Participating in the read-a-longs on one of the MBD Discords, I have become *very* aware of how frequently the word "foyer" appears in the books.
Also, I have learned that apparently Canadians (or at least some of us) pronounce it differently from Americans. And I do mean anglophone Canadians, but we seem to follow essentially French pronunciation rules for it.
"Foy-ay", not "foy-er". Otherwise we mostly seem to pronounce it the same.
I never noticed this before, and it amuses me to know it now.
I HAVE FINISHED THE BOOK
I will say nothing else of it here, yet. Other than that I loved it and I'm so happy to have experienced this new book while participating in the fandom, so I've been squeeing along with other people about every chapter as I went along.
Shift done! No callers, but that's okay. I frequently use my waiting time on the support line to chat with other queer and trans people online through here and Discord anyways. So I'm sometimes doing more informal peer support while I wait for calls to the line. x3
So that thing recently where one separatist organizing group got copy of The Republican Party of Alberta's copy of the viewer registration list, and then made it accessible to volunteers working for them (apparently it was a searchable database in an app they downloaded?), well, the UCP (current political party leading Alberta) may have known about it for weeks.
https://globalnews.ca/news/11831942/dangerous-violation-jason-kenney-alleged-centurion-project-leak/
Danielle Smith and the UCP are supposed to be the "United Conservative Party" but separatist and far right groups like Take Back Alberta (mentioned in the article) are a main reason Danielle Smith got the premier spot and they are a powerful portion of the current voting base of the party itself. Smith pretends to not favour the separatists and far right but it's pretty obvious that she's close to them, so finding this out in the article isn't surprising.
I've also seen some articles mentioning that there may not be a legal way to go after those responsible, currently
Appointments booked. Audiobook listened to. Work messages tended to.
I might also have to escort D to an appointment tomorrow morning but he likes booking his physio in the mornings now so that'll work well for me, just means I'll be super busy all day tomorrow. I think I'll listen to Platform Decay one more time, heh.
I have a short virtual appointment booked for Friday, and then nothing. So plenty of recovery time after tomorrow.
I now have the audiobook. Have added it to the rotation and am starting my cycle over with it. xD
In the first chapter I kept having this feeling like I was reading a really good MBD fanfic.
And I don't know if it's because I've been reading so much MBD fanfic, or just her writing style, but I'm not the only one who was having that feeling. Someone else said "it feels like she is a huge fan of these characters & story too!" which, yeah, exactly.
There's also, right away in the first chapter, so many callbacks to previous books in the series. Not in a boring or repetitive way, I feel.
I also had the thought a couple times "wow her SecUnit voice is perfect!" before realizing oh, yeah, it would be. xD
