Cleared customs, only minimal extra scrutiny. The BA app is giving nonsensical information, and the reps can only say 'wait for an email'. They're apparently trying to book a whole new flight just for passengers who should have been in Seattle yesterday. I asked the rep if there was a restaurant nearby. She shrugged and gave me a sad smile and said 'there's a Dunkins'. c.c

Not able to check in because the new flight is a fresh chartered flight and BA haven't finished working it out with AA yet. But soon. I have found a prêt and am taking full advantage of its 'seats for paying customers only' policy to get some calories and some caffeine and some painkillers because I've basically been some flavour of standing up for the bulk of the last 40 hours. My everything hurts.

To be clear, 'have a credit card on file' is a more acceptable form of age validation than 'give us all your ID so we can give it to our shady third party partners who definitely won't keep it forever', which is why we've used it for, what, thirty years of internet so far? But I have a credit card on file. That my account is old enough to drink and has been active for that whole period is secondary and makes it /hilarious/ (-ly bad)
