I think it's unfair to compare vi(m) and emacs, they're not built for the same purposes.
#emacs is a full productivity suite with addons and parts for every imaginable thing in the universe. it's the CLI version of an 'everything app', it'll just as happily help you with spreadsheets or email or your calendar or align the planets in whatever specific configuration as part of your dark voodoo magic incantation workflows or whatever.
and #vim and #nano are also not the same, for the same reasons
My blog is a compiled artifact, not a rented form. #Indexcards → #Logseq → #Typst → static HTML → #Surge, deployed in seconds. Zero npm bloat, zero subscription, zero platform I don't control. Every post starts on paper before it ever touches a keyboard. That's not aesthetic, that's architecture.
And honestly? I feel bad for Substack writers now. They picked an overrated web-editor over understanding how their own words get published. That's not a tech choice, that's an intellectual shortcut.
You can't claim to be a serious writer while being incurious about the machine that delivers your writing.

I have like zero respect left for developers who use LLMs to write or maintain their software.
I don't even care for the reasons why they use this unethical piece of... technology.
Technology trained on data they don't own. Technology owned and shaped by fascists. Technology that sends its crawlers around the globe to suck every bit they can find to dump their models into big f***ing corp data centers. Data centers that are polluting the air with their big ass gas plants.
But hey! "Leave ethics aside". "That's how software development works today!".
I'm so sick of this and about everyone supporting this industry.
If you feel targeted, you are welcome. I have zero respect for you or your software garbage. I just wish you the worst.
