Hello! Tentanote is a native Mac app I'm building: notes, links, files, to-dos and the tabs you won't close, in one room, connected to what they belong with, and kept in a file on your own disk. I'll post short clips of it working, and essays on why these tools usually fail and what I'm doing differently. Hallo Alle! #Neuhier #Introduction #Wandern #Lesen #Puzzles #JigsawPuzzle #LanguageLearning #Finnisch #Japanisch #PKM #Obsidian

📺 youtube-subscriptions-ingest pulls video metadata from your real #YouTube subscriptions and turns it into a cross-linked knowledge graph in your #Obsidian second brain, not just a flat list of videos #opensource #Python #PKM 🧠 Every video becomes its own note with the full description, clickable timestamp links ("2:15" jumps straight to that moment) and real [[wikilinks]] to the topics and named tools it touches. Open a topic later and every video that ever mentioned it is right there 🧵👇

My blog is a compiled artifact, not a rented form. #Indexcards → #Logseq → #Typst → static HTML → #Surge, deployed in seconds. Zero npm bloat, zero subscription, zero platform I don't control. Every post starts on paper before it ever touches a keyboard. That's not aesthetic, that's architecture. And honestly? I feel bad for Substack writers now. They picked an overrated web-editor over understanding how their own words get published. That's not a tech choice, that's an intellectual shortcut. You can't claim to be a serious writer while being incurious about the machine that delivers your writing. Learn your stack. Own your words. https://paperstackpro.surge.sh/ #StaticSite #SelfHosted #Typst #Vim #PKM

#introduction FoldNotes is a native markdown notes app for Mac and iOS, five years in the making. Every heading folds. Tasks live inside your notes — and a live kanban board tracks them across your whole collection. Plain .md files in iCloud, no lock-in, no plugins to configure. In public beta now, releasing soon. Built with AppKit and UIKit — no web views. #markdown #notes #pkm #macos #ios #indiedev #buildinpublic

As every summer, some part of my vacation is spent on turning some knobs of my note-taking process. For 2026, this means adding individual notes for ”focus claims”, ideas/thoughts/questions I find myself returning to over and over again. The plan is to use them as link targets for notes I take when reading/watching/listening/discussing, recording wether a not supports or refutes the ”focus claim”. #notetaking #pkm #obsidian #zettelkasten

Fern release v1.3.5 is out now, bringing a few stability and bug :blobcat_googly_bug: fixes since my last ping about v1.3.0:

  • desktop launchers (lmk if these dont work on your OS of choice)
  • emoji render bugfix
  • panics (at the disco) are handled gracefully
  • errors dumped to console upon crashes for easier bug reporting

https://codeberg.org/InodeLabs/fern/releases/tag/v1.3.5

Note: Snap releases will be delayed a bit while I try to figure out why repo changes are not getting picked up there. Brew and scoop users can update normally. #notetaking #tui #golang #pkm

Something I've been thinking about for a while: using AI well requires strong cognitive abilities — the very same abilities AI can undermine. A 5-part series exploring this tension starts tomorrow. First post: The AI Cognitive Ability Paradox, published at 5pm. At https://www.ctnet.co.uk/#AI #PKM #KnowledgeManagement #CriticalThinking #ArtificialIntelligence
