BOOST FAR AND WIDE PLEASE! After my most recent hospital trips, lovely people here on fedi have been asking me what I'll need to get through the next couple of weeks given I'm disabled and under the poverty line, and my last surgery didn't go to plan😔(you can read more on my timeline). I need to recover from that physically, while also now needing to gain strength and wait for yet another surgery at the end of September due to the last one not working😅 Obviously, the setback has thrown things out of whack as far as the food and adult diapers that I currently can't do without, so given people have asked, I have taken stock of what I'll need to get through until next surgery day: *more ready meals as I don't have the ability to cook right now but need nutritious things that are pre-prepared *Two more packs of adult diapers to get me through until the next surgery date. The total cost is $237.15. That will mean I'm fed, and able to rest and recover from my last hospital stay and surgery(where they added another stent), and give myself the best possible chance of being alright to go into the next surgery and have that be a success(and recovery be smooth). If you could help me reach my goal of $237.15 so I can get those essential diapers and the food I need, it would be very much appreciated. Update: out of surgery but not the best news. Surgery was unsuccessful. The stent was encrusted and they couldn't remove it. They couldn't laser the stones either, so all they could do was put another stent in along with the old one, and I need to go for another urgent surgery in one or two weeks at another hospital. I'm sad and disappointed and exhausted. I was hoping to be done with all this😔 #hospital #surgery #exhausted

So...the day has come. Kengo has had his left leg ACL tear repair surgery today. For those who don't know the story, he had had similar surgery on his right leg in early May. The vet says everything went well and he is ready to be picked up tomorrow. My wife is on the phone with #UnitedHealthcare because a surgery she had scheduled for Tuesday next week was denied by the insurance company. The woman who is speaking to her has informed her that there is a nursing support call that is free of charge if my wife needs to discuss the emotions of getting this claim denied and to plan future care. It is such bollocks. USians generally hate our healthcare plans and these companies. Imagine facing surgery and being told that they won't pay for it, but they will pay for a nurse to call you and console you about their decision. Absolutely horrific. So the stiffness and pain sucks but maybe the worst is the chafing on my armpits from the enormous bandage that I can't take off until Wednesday. I don't suppose anyone has any tips on that? It's been about 24 hours since the procedure. #surgery #topsurgery #trans
