I often try and do my best in anything I do, work, motorbike, this instance, relationships. I do my best to make things run smoothly and happily.

I’ve just been broken up with as I’m “to introverted” I’ve been trying to come out my shell more and have been the past few years becoming a more open and extroverted person but it sucks to think that things aren’t going well and ended due to that factor.

I just wished I didn’t feel so empty with this sort of thing and just could feel okay again. I guess the next few days at least will be sitting back playing games and trying to feel something again just sucks I’m back to this sucky mess again.

I know I’ve probably done a shit job of explaining how I feel but I really do try my best. I just simply want to share mine and someone else’s experiences together

I've ridden a lot this week.

Getting out my comfort zone and learning the roads nearby me is pretty fun, luckily only had one mishap out of the whole lot that shook me a little.

Will be trying to do a little talking segment by finding a nice place to park up and record myself doing a talking part for my next video that'll release for the SamXavia YouTube Channel.

(Also will be uploading them to the Fediverse as well).

As a new rider this has been really fun and revealing and I'm glad to learn how to do my gear changes properly.

I wanna move my PeerTube Channels over from MakerTube what should I do?

I have a few PeerTube channels on @MakerTube@mastodon.social

The goal was always it to be a temporary home for my YouTube content. The time has come to help MakerTube by moving my content away from there system's freeing up storage space and not costing them a monthly price for hosting.

I've got a few options;
Option 1 -- I upload all channels content to this account. Making it a mix of gaming, vlogging and general posts I've done across video content.

Option 2 -- I create new accounts on solent.social where I upload these bits of content allowing me to boost it with my main account as a 'go check it out' system. (I'm questioning how I'd name them as I currently run two channels of "SamXavia" for vlogging / motorvlogging content and "SamXaviaGaming" for gaming content, but I could rather simplify this name or keep it the same as my main on here is Sam)

Option 3 -- I take more time and start up my own PeerTube instance to make sure that the content gets put onto PeerTube along with the rest of the Fediverse instead of where microblogging systems post to. This option doesn't give much benefit to me other than spending more money from what I can see but I might be missing something.


So help me, what do you think I should do? They are all okay options and have there benefits, but I do really want to make sure my content is out here on the Fediverse and it is better to have proper control / ownership of it.

We have reached over 4,000 instances we are connected to, This means we have reached close to 10% of the world-wide instances that are publicly known about.

My Introduction post about Solent.Social (https://solent.social/notes/anmlh8frlte5048g) is close to 100 boosts because sometimes people boost my pinned post and it gets more people viewing and reacting to it. So thank you for everyone that has done that.

Update 3
I've slowly added more custom emojis such as the PEGI ratings ( ​:pegi3:​ ​:pegi7:​ ​:pegi12:​ ​:pegi16:​ ​:pegi18:​ ) This allows people on our instance to rate video games what they feel the game should be graded at (or use the actual rating) when reviewing or mentioning a game.

We've also got the BBFC ratings what is the UK ratings for Movies ( ​:bbfcU:​ ​:bbfcPG:​ ​:bbfc12a:​ ​:bbfc12:​ ​:bbfc15:​ ​:bbfc18:​ )

Update 4
I'm personally planning on moving my archive of my YouTube content over from MakerTube over to solent.social under the users @samxavia@solent.social for my Vlogging / Motorvlogging Content as well as @samxaviagaming@solent.social for my Gaming content.

Plans are in the works to help new people move onto Solent.Social and further push the Fediverse as whole due to the online safety issues that are happening through normal social media needs, If you have friends or family that wanna join us feel free to contact me for an invite code.
