@dotpk@bsd.network Indeed it is. Android switched to cdc-ncm - network control mode since the Pixel 6. I'm still looking into the details but I want to get it working on #OpenBSD. #NetBSD has a driver since their newest 11 release, so thats probably a good think to relate to.

@dotpk@bsd.network This seems to work. Let me clean up a bit and tell me how to send you a diff. #OpenBSD This is tested on my Pixel 9 Pro with GrapheneOS

@Abstract_Mage_Annastasia@tech.lgbt The best. Storage, Compute and not paying ransom for my data is awesome (and how things should be).

I'm working as a freelancer, which means I'm a business. I can not easily give to the BSD foundations [well I could but it would make sense to do it as a business] (#FreeBSD, #NetBSD, #OpenBSD) because I'd need an invoice. Can someone help a fellow out here? How do companies do it? I'm based in Germany in case that matters.

@_nibbles@mastodon.social @stefano@mastodon.bsd.cafe There is a difference between upgrading the base system vs. 3rd party packages. Nothing of this has anything to do with "haven't come up with proper package management". Your 'dnf upgrade' upgrades _everything_ you haven't blacklisted. The command 'syspatch' on #OpenBSD upgrades the parts of the base system that need to be upgraded (no 3rd party packages) - sometimes thats security patches, sometimes not so subtle bugs. What you are refering to in i.e. OpenBSDs case is 'pkg_add -u' which will upgrade the non-base (3rd party) packages that the users installed _after_ the base system has been installed. There is quite a difference in base and package handling between NetBSD, OpenBSD and FreeBSD. Saying none of the BSDs have come up with proper package management is quite wrong.

There is a decomissioned WW2 bunker a couple minutes away from me. I have the hmurge to build a DC in there, heat the roof with some of the heat and have a nice rooftop bar for the neighbours.

I do not know how developers can work their career without knowing about Unix related systems. I'm not judging it, I'm just in the dark that they never encountered it.

@rqm@0xde501a7a.net @dotpk@bsd.network It's based on umb(4) and far from finished. Technically it works but the code is kind of messy and I'm (as always) afraid of sending it out.
