When posting about events such as conferences, please include a clear indication of *where* the thing is. Keep in mind that your post will be seen worldwide, including people who are not in your city, country, time zone or even continent. Including details about possible remote participation is fine of course, mod time zones #conferences #meetups #localtime #remotepartcipation

We are very close to a new OpenBSD release. "You Have Installed OpenBSD. Now For The Daily Tasks." https://nxdomain.no/~peter/openbsd_installed_now_for_the_daily_tasks.html can help you prepare for the upgrade. If you are using exim as your MTA (or any other non-base system MTA), "OpenSMTPD Is The Mail Server For The Future" https://nxdomain.no/~peter/time_for_opensmtpd.html contains useful pointers for a better mail future. #openbsd #newrelease #openbsd79 #opensmtpd #email #smtp #rspamd #antispam #spam

Do you want to come to Brussels, mingle with BSD people, perhaps do a talk, a tutorial or a BOF session?

The Call for papers https://2026.eurobsdcon.org/cfp/ is open until June 20th, for the conference in Brussels September 9-13, 2026.

We also offer pre-submission guidance/mentoring, as described in the CFP document.

Wonder what BSD and the conferences are about? See https://nxdomain.no/~peter/what_is_bsd_come_to_a_conference_to_find_out.html

IT IS NOT.

The best thing to my mind about PF state tracking options is that you can apply them to anything. SSH is important, but it's not the only service that gets groped. I keep thinking a revised https://nxdomain.no/~peter/badness_enumerated_by_robots.html might be in order soon, but it does have useful pointers still.
