I bought recently a #R36S retro console for just 31€ on Aliexpress. Highly recommended if you love retro stuff. Works with retroark under linux. It comes with thousands of #GB, #GBC, #GBA, #NES, #SNES, #MSX, #Famicom, #Game Gear, #Mega Drive, #MasterSystem, #Atari2600, #NeoGeo, ... even #Playstation 1 and #PSP roms ready to play! I added games for #C64, #Amstrad, #BBCMicro, #MSDOS, #AppleII, #Ti 99, ... and of course, #ZX81 and #ZXSpectrum games! 🧐 #retrogaming

While browsing #NES tunes, I came upon this #chiptune track that I really liked. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zC0EWRZE3Dw The triangle wave on the NES didn't have controls for dynamics. You could only have it at max volume or off. Besides that you had only 2 more voices: square-like pulses that could quickly saturate when together and sound very jarring. Yet despite all these limitations, this song sounds very rich and is nice to listen to. @music@fedigroups.social #music #musicrecommendation #megaman #tunetuesday

Finished prepping the NESessity NES mainboard for the new front loader mechanism. I got lazy when I installed all the components on the NESessity board and maybe didn't clean the flux off as well as I should have. However, since I've gotten open the NES up, figured I'd do a proper 99% isopropyl alcohol bath and a good scrub. The board is looking great, now to wait for the cartridge slot to come in and get it buttoned up again. #retrogaming #nes #frontloader
