For an experiment I bought a small can of Folgers coffee. I wanted to see what would happen if I took cheap terrible coffee and brewed it carefully.
I did pour over method, 16:1 ratio, and 96°C filtered water.
It still tastes like shit. I don't know what I expected. 😐
I grew up drinking Folgers everyday, but I haven't had it in like 15 years. I now remember why I formerly used twice as much sweetener as I normally use now. #coffee

A couple of weeks ago my gf had to get a root canal. That very same week YouTube starts recommending me videos of root canals. I did not lookup anything related to root canals leading up to that, and she says she didn't either. I don't like watching surgery videos as a whole anyway.

I installed the SwitchBot Bot on my kitchen ceiling lights switch. By itself it can run over Bluetooth, but I paired it with the SwitchBot Hub 2 which allows WiFi control.
It really works (so far). It'll be interesting to see how the battery life is; it runs on just a coin battery. 😬
It's Matter compatible (with the hub). I got it into Apple Home that way, but Google and Home Assistant are possible too, apparently.

iOS's contextual menu has a 'Look Up' action that'll run a search on whatever you have highlighted. I use it to look up words in the dictionary when reading ebooks.
An annoying thing though is if the word also happens to be the title of movie, it'll open a page with info exclusively about the movie; it shows no option to look up word in the dictionary. 😐

Every moment of every day there's music playing in my head. It could be music I love, or music I hate. It's usually a musical snippet that's only a few seconds long looping endlessly.
With some concentration I can imagine white noise or ocean that blocks out the music, but pure silience is impossible.
It really affects my concentration when reading. I'll be trying to read a book and like the Thomas the Tank Engine theme is on repeat fighting for attention. 😵💫

I really wish adding USB extension cords and switches wasn't such a gamble. Even after you double check all the cables and switches involved use the right dataspeed and power, the setup as a whole might not work for whatever reason.
Latest problem: I got a short USB4 extension cord. After installing it, the devices I have plugged into a USB3 hub no longer connect. Oddly though the hub itself registers on my Mac, but nothing plugged into it. #usb #usbc #cables #tech

I know "folks" is now a common gender inclusive way to informally address people, but I had the misfortune of having to listen to Rush Limbaugh on a near daily basis throughout my childhood; he always addressed his audience with "folks" so now I'm cursed to picture and hear that asshole each time I see someone else use "folks". 😓

Using an iPad Pro with a mouse/keyboard and extended monitor feels so janky. Scrolling is weird. I can't use all my Logitech mouse buttons. I click control center on my monitor, and it opens up on the iPad screen (???). I tried dragging one window from the iPad to the monitor and the whole OS crashed.
