Dear Friends who are kewl, Well I am not cool. Too infirm, feeble and decrepit, especially pre-breakfast... But in case you are a coolist: 1) I thought I had Thunderbird on my #Linux desktop. No. Wrong. Fail! 2) Instead I had #Deltachat AND LO and Behold. I managed (finally) to get it working [Sounds of #mad #heroic lobster gleeful yelping] 3) I even bypassed 'do know evil' Goo-gle and Apple (pronounced 'appal') sign in (which I don't have/use anymore) and... 4) ...Setup a new #email account in European Canada 🌈 Ye Gods and Elders of the Internet! This is a quick update about the status of Briar. Short version: the project is still active but we’re only making essential security updates and bugfixes for now. Long version: For several years we’ve been trying to find solutions to some of the longstanding issues with Briar, such as high battery usage and unreliable background operation on Android, missing features like account backup and file attachments, and a difficult user experience for adding contacts and communicating offline.
