The game portrays their society and governing structure in a refreshingly positive light (despite it being saddled with the usual media tropes of "resource scarcity on the edge of society" and "harried by attacks from gangs, so they have to ask the capitalists for help" that seem to come with socialism in media nowadays)

Maybe still a bit lone-wolfy, but there's lots of room for something else in that framework too but they're still AT LEAST 3 years away from anything resembling that
