Dear Fedipeeps, I seek your counsel on buying the right drawing pad. Here are my ideal requirements, though I am willing to compromise (especially on the price, and except the Linux part):
- Something to use with Krita - I am not a sophisticated artist by any margin, I plan to mostly draw naive, aquarelle- and flat-like comics and text-accompanying images.
- I prefer to see what I draw on the surface, so with a screen.
- Price range up to 666€.
- I use Linux, it should fully work on it.
I used some cheap Wacom in the past, it wasn't half-bad but I don't enjoy staring at a different screen. I've seen Huion Kamvas 16 Gen 3 recommended for my requirements, but I have no idea what I'm doing.
Any tips welcome!

Thank you! Those look good. In the end, I think I'll go for a XPPen Artist Pro 16 (Gen 2)! It's likely a bit more than what I need, but then again it will allow for my potential to grow.

Thanks for the insights! By now I'm decided on XPPen Artist Pro 16 (Gen 2), but I'll look into the Kamvas just in case. European prices are pretty much the same.

Hi! Very much interested in this. We need an ActivityPub alternative to business social networks. Nolto was such a letdown.
I can only hope you know what you are getting into in terms is potential scale! I'm no (good) coder, but I'm happy to support in other ways.
It's commendable that you are taking this slowly and first figuring out the basics together with the community.
My only suggestion would be, for now, to think of alternative names for the network. ProFed is not bad actually, but is it something that will stick into people's heads? Maybe.

Switching TTRPG systems is notoriously difficult due to the different gameplay philosophies inherent to different systems. This might not be what you're looking for, but it's worth considering. Here are two nice pieces on converting 5e to the Cypher system:

What could work is a plot device of going to an alternate reality, like after defeating a boss, his final revenge is to cast the PCs to a world familiar, but different. And then, in agreement with your players, you do the transition to a different system governed by different incentives.
