Enthusiastic programmer. Love CRPGs, black currant, summer and blinking LEDs. Villager. Planted an oak tree.
#vim

I have an incomprehensible weakness for tiny displays and have been doing #FPGA on lower decks lately.

Sometimes I do #electronics and print things on my 3D printer (#3dprinting #diy)

In 2019, the ESP8266 cost $3; now, the ESP32-P4 costs $2 and features a dual-core RISC-V processor running at up to 400 MHz, along with 32 MB of PSRAM and 32 MB of flash memory. I think it can easily handle DNS :) #microPython #mcuhttps://copelandroyall.blogspot.com/2019/08/writing-micropython-pi-hole-for.html

I don't really care what credit cards look like, but since my brother gave me this sticker, I decided to put it to use🤣 #family

Installing OpenBSD on the NanoPi R2S plus Once I figured out which files to write to the SD card for the NanoPi R2S plus and in what order for #netbsd, installing #openbsd was a breeze. The second 1G network card is working—the very one that #FreeBSD doesn't recognize ;)

Onions are so low-maintenance—the real challenge is getting rid of them, not growing them. And the pear tree is about to burst into bloom! :) #gardening

Dual heat pipes—a must-have for the #T480. Fallout: New Vegas view from the same hill before and after upgrading to dual heat pipes.🤣

Oh! The first commit from the AI is on its way to Marlin. I'm syncing my local copy before it gets into the code, and this will be the final firmware version. 🤣

Of course, this is all about total control. As if the recent law on 3D-printed guns weren’t enough for Americans, they’re happily buying printers that send data to China.

Printers that not only catch fire but also gradually lock them into a closed-off system. Geniuses.

@darthnull@infosec.exchange For now, I find the idea of working with just one of these units amusing (though it hasn't even arrived yet), but I have no use for a whole bunch of them. However, something tells me that a cluster of these things using Wi-Fi would completely shit up all over the airwaves, whereas with an Ethernet "star" topology, the cost of the switches would likely far exceed the cost of the cluster itself. Unless, of course, I reinvent the "ring" topology or some sort of cheap bus... :)
