Discord Inc is grossly neglecting privacy laws, by giving users access to bots, which are widely used without any regards to the GDPR. Furthermore, Discord Inc does not intervene on requests regarding GDPR.
The Dutch Data Protection Authority is the authority regarding privacy for Discord Inc. Given public information and transparency reports of the authority, it fails to ensure company compliance to laws. DDPA is delaying and ignoring complaints, seemingly due to the mass of complaints they receive.

tbf all i've essentially learned in uni, is that you can study all on the internet. only thing they do is give you a degree, which's value is imo rather fictional. like religion, only that many people pray on it.

So, I was looking for a means to download images from DeviantArt in bulk. I made use of JDownloader in the past, but its now borked.
I stumbled upon this creepy thing:

Its git contains nothing: a readme and two screenshots. Its release page holds a 200 mb executable. As suspicious as it sounds, I went and tried it inside a sandbox.
It comes without any manual. It optionally extracts cookies set for deviantart from either firefox or chrome. It then watches the clipboard for DA gallery links and starts downloading them. It also queues them.
Once set in a clipboard, it will go and download galleries completely, which cannot be rearranged or stopped within the program - at least according to lack of manual.
The handling is a bit weird, but it works. Surprisingly, it doesn't appear to be malware. It uses 'chrome for testing' internally.
The window is always-on-top, but can be minimized. It plays music on its about and terms page, which is arguably weird.
Whether it is true handiwork or AI slop, i can't tell from its execution. The picture on its Release page may suggest the later.
This was just for curiosity. I rewrote some other program to do the bulk downloading. 😁

a pretty good indicator for someone using a phone, is that the first letter is set uppercase automatically. as you can see, you see no uppercase and throwing my phone into the toilet would have no effect. thanks for your deduction.
