@JulianOliver@mastodon.social this is so depressing:
"But I’m also angry with the AI applications. Maybe they only did what they were programmed to do – but they did it a bit too well.”
He's still mad at the thing, not the people that made the thing. Still assigning it agency.

@cwebber@social.coop I saw basically that post on reddit. No one wants to listen to anyone else's machine learning extruded music like sounds, only their own

@jalefkowit@vmst.io that looks like the houses in key West, they are all up sigh so the important stuff doesn't get flooded

@molly0xfff Step one: type “sheet.new” into browser address bar
Step two: type in a few numbers
Step three: close the tab, never to think about that untitled file again

@jalefkowit If I could have conceived of this job as a 10 year old I probably would have been what I wanted 🤣 I loved playing with flashlights and got in trouble for running down batteries

@theron29@witter.cz @mekkaokereke@hachyderm.io I mean, yeah, but pretty much every car maker does that anyway so I'd rather have the cheaper option https://www.consumerreports.org/electronics/personal-information/how-to-stop-your-car-from-collecting-sharing-driving-data-a1233378612/

@npdoty in my town regular bike shops won't touch ebikes (some will do basic maintenance but nothing electrical some won't touch them at all)
But, there's an ebike store in town that offers servicing of ebikes, so I go there

@impermanen_ that's how one of my dogs will try to get the other dog to play tug with him 😂

@Beurkeek@peoplemaking.games if you can't find one here, perhaps you could email the museum of play to see if they'll let you use their picture? https://www.museumofplay.org/blog/play-is-the-best-medicine/

@JessTheUnstill@infosec.exchange I keep seeing people say "where are all the tech jobs that I can feel good about doing" and I don't have the heart to tell them they exist, but most pay way less (closer to the median national average), and if they've acclimated to the high tech salaries they just won't be able to live off it

@ingrid I thought the idea was that the very rich could support the economy all by themselves since they're getting all the money, they need to step it up

@gregeganSF@mathstodon.xyz wait... Are you my neighbor?
(I've tried to get my AC to stop doing that 3x but it keeps doing it again after it's been powered off and on again)
