I can't boost this directly because it's a reply to someone who has me blocked, but omg, my hero 😂

I *love* the generosity of the fediverse but it sure has been wild to see folks fund an abuser with tens of thousands of dollars to harm me & my child. Of course, folks don't know what's happening behind the scenes—and I can't share many specifics until court concludes—but I have to smile when folks call him out.

Major update in our court case: I've been granted another temporary DVPO after the family court services parenting plan evaluation was released. It Is the result of months of in-depth research into our case, and it outlines dozens of ways that my child's father has engaged in domestic violence, coercive control, and neglect of our child. The report relies on contact with numerous medical professionals who have witnessed the abuse.

Today is my birthday and we just crossed $10,000 donated toward my legal fund as a DV survivor.

Little me is so grateful to big me for getting out, and for doing everything I can to protect my toddler.

It's truly an honor to have the resources to keep going despite ongoing abuse and the patriarchal nastiness of family court.

Cheers to this kid. We've made it 37 years. Let's keep building the world they needed back then.

Children who are too young to mask deserve to be in public without contracting a deadly and/or disabling disease (or any disease, really).

Everyone who chooses not to mask in public forces parents to choose between isolation and high risk.

Everyone who chooses not to mask in public decreases the quality of life for families with young children.

I'm **wildly** grateful to have a wonderful support system (including therapy today, yay!) because the unending stream of abuse is intended to shut me down.

You matter. You are not a burden. And there are people who are honored to be the ones you turn to when you're struggling.

Tfw you realize that your abuser never actually cared about taking COVID precautions & was just using it to control & isolate you.

Bc when your child is sick with cold & flu symptoms & you ask him if he's taken a COVID test, he says "Why would I? I don't have any symptoms" & meanwhile he's been taking the unmasked kid on crowded public transit (which wasn't an option when you were together even w/o a car which meant you were stuck at home w them for 15-hour days while he "worked.")

You can't "currently be experiencing longer than normal call wait times" ALL THE TIME.
