Help Us Build Resources for Trans, Nonbinary & Queer People Emigrating to safety - https://expat.lgbt https://4fund.com/ap3f3t Our mission is to support transgender, nonbinary, and queer people from around the world who are considering moving abroad due to the political or social situation in their country. What We’ve Already Achieved: Connected with LGBTQ+ and migrant-support organizations to broaden the scope of information we provide. Why This Matters: For many LGBTQ+ people, especially trans and nonbinary people, the recent political climate has made daily life unsafe and uncertain. Moving abroad can seem like a lifeline, but the process is complicated, overwhelming, and often inaccessible. By building a centralized, community-driven hub of information, we can make this process easier, safer, and more supportive for those who need it most. Your donation will help us cover the essentials, expand our reach, and keep creating resources that empower queer people to make informed decisions about their future. #transgender #queer #lgbtqia #support #mutual_aid #fundraising #migrant #emigration #nonbinary #queerpol

#introduction As LGBTQ+ people from Europe and the USA, we got together to gather answers to the most frequently asked questions related to immigration, work, and everyday life as queer people in our respective countries. We want to help transgender, nonbinary, and queer people from all over the world who are considering moving to Europe, motivated by the sudden change of the current political situation in the USA. You can read more about how we organized here: https://expat.lgbt/about-us.html #transgender #relocation #mutualaid #support #queer #nonbinary #lgbtqia

Weirdness is POWER. Seriously, think about it. You have all kinds of power as a weirdo. The power to make conservatives run screaming. The power to change the world for the better. The power to show others like you that they aren't alone. Be proud of your weirdness. Be proud to be bisexual, or furry, or nonbinary, or kinky, or therian, or plural, or polyamorous, or whatever YOUR identity is. It's your greatest asset!! 🩵🩵🩵 #furry #dragonposting #weird #silly #FursuitFriday #CatsOfMastodon #Lgbtqia #nonbinary #polyamory #plural

Nonbinary people have the same problems as everyone else. We get sick and injured. We get fired and struggle to find work. We end up in bad relationships. Sometimes our mental health declines and more. You don't have to be a perfect nonbinary person in order to show the world that nonbinary people are valuable. Be messy and live your life. #NonBinaryPositivity #NonBinaryPride #NonBinary

Recently, I had the amusing spectacle of a tragically heterosexual woman talking to my wife @GoldenRetrieverGF@blahaj.zone and me, and her relationship-role compass flipping wildly while trying to nail down who, between us, is "the man" in the relationship. Of course, the obvious point of a lesbian relationship is that *there is no "man"*. That is maybe a bit too broad a brush, given the details of the #lesbian umbrella that can span all the way to he/him-lesbians, and, indeed, trans men, if they want to include themselves. What is the defining trait of a lesbian relationship, then? That needs a closer look at queer labels, and the meaning of #queer in general. Let's start with an analogy, a pendulum. Simple string and weighted ball contraption, fixed at the other end to an anchor point. You set it in motion in such a way that seen from above the anchor point, it goes around in a circle. Now we change our perspective to look at it edge on from one side, and what we see is that the circular motion now seems like it's merely swinging back and forth on a line, and we don't see that "mid-swing" it actually is at two very different points. What this illustrates is that your point of view makes for a projection that obstructs a relevant detail. Going back to the lesbian relationship that means, however "unfeminine" you may view one part, that part does not actually need, in any way, shape or form, be or fulfill the role of "a man", just because you expect a relationship to have these set roles. But since that is your preset point of view on relationships, you still can't see anything but. A lesbian relationship doesn't need to follow your mental model, even if parts of it seem to follow that pattern. In a more general perspective, this experiment sheds light on what queer means. It means "defying a general, set expectation". It means that your perspective is insufficient to describe it. When people deconstruct their identity into different labels, sub labels and micro labels, they may at some point swing back to the word "queer", not because all those observed aspects are wrong or don't have meaning anymore, but because they have made a development that you can't readily see from where you're looking. What seems a return to you might hide a movement in a direction that you have no idea of. And if your #nonbinary friend grasps for words how they are not a man, woman, or something "inbetween", they are describing just that - a direction that you have no conception of, and can't be described in generally, culturally understood terms. All that is to say, if a lesbian couple describes their relationship as lesbian, then you trying to frame it in heteronormative expectations is doomed to fall short.

I've not been the best about posting this year. But something that has been doing great is the coloring process for my sleeve! The last coloring session we did the reds, oranges and blue+very subtle seafoam green. The different greens on the leaves of different parts of my arm were done a while ago. Fun fact: The Amanita Muscaria is a sort of "forbidden fruit" due to it being both poisonous and psychoactive (in more of a deleriant way, not necessarily a psychedelic way). Instead of eating it, I would recommend checking out some of the folklore around it 😊 #TattooTour #NonBinary #KatsTats #KatPics #JellyShroom #ThoughtBubbles

Can we all pretend it’s #WipWednesday and boost this to help me reach potential sales/clients? My family has a serious shot at stability (aka. ESCAPING HOMELESSNESS; please see pinned posts) but we’ll only be successful if we can raise a minimum of $1,000 by September 30, 2026!!! Current standing: $540/1000 Here are a couple art commissions I’ve been working on (whenever my computer cooperates) :blobcatflower: Please check out my ko-fi! https://ko-fi.com/lukeorion Direct donations + more: https://hyperfollow.com/LukeOrion Thank you for any support you give! @mutualaid@fedigroups.social @mutualaid@ovo.st#mutualAid #transgender #nonbinary #neurodivergent #BuyIntoArt #illustration #disabled #crowdfund #poverty #kofi #art #MutualAidRequest #Artist #MutualAidSavesLives

What's the modern equivalent of wearing pants for female-read people to protest gender stereotypes and prescribed roles? As a male-read person, this would be wearing a skirt, painting your fingernails, glitter, even a pink shirt. (A big shout-out to the feminists who wore pants when this was protest!) #nonbinary
