When Thailand chooses equality, it signals to neighboring countries that progress is possible, that modernity and inclusivity can strengthen rather than threaten tradition. And Thailand proves it works: open, welcoming cities like Bangkok have long been havens for LGBTQ+ travelers and expats, and now they're legal havens too.
