@jimsalter@fosstodon.org @latenightlinux@mastodon.social i gave up on ubuntu when snaps came to being. got this new acer aspire 14 ai snapdragon because my old toshiba l750 gave up it's hard drive spinning rust at last it was good but 1 it had 8gb of ram 2, this has 16gb nvme gen4 ssd 512gb and is far faster it's arm and silent the battery lasts ages blind so use accessible screen reader software one big downside linux support is patchy when it becomes usible then will i be able to rejoine you got this because it was a deal £399 the main price before the deal was £699 linux please hurry up windows 11 is eerr not the best.

@JessTheUnstill@infosec.exchange and some of them have the audio discribed track for people like me who are blind

@sarajw@front-end.social good! oh, i'm the dude that talked to you once about the happy pepper part of your name you explained about the bell peppers epesode.

@sarajw@front-end.social hello! good night! LOL :) hope you are well, if you are going to sleep now, please have a good nights sleep.

how good are arm machines like these? never had a arm machine so very curious i'm on the hunt. checking this out. https://www.currys.co.uk/products/acer-aspire-14-ai-14-laptop-copilot-pc-snapdragon-x-512-gb-ssd-blue-10285554.html 16gb, 512gb nvmessd silent as the grave. compared to my toshiba l750 i'm currently using with a prair this must be far better write??

so makafee you are a piece of utter gob shite. be gon, yes like that just bugger off. even the person who first made this software, decryed it in the end.

@whitequark LOL!

@TheQuinbox i'm loving fedra, thank you for this! would it be possible to add cacheing? local db which caches posts/timelines? I would think it handy? would be grateful if you could possibly look in to this? again, loving the snappiness of fedra. heck i've killed twblue because of this. thank you again :) :)

@Aman what's your machine?

@Aman hey, you running the x64 bit edition of windows 11 v25h2 write? is your device x64 or the fancy arm machines? I ask because in the hp site there's a listing for the arm option.

@Aman also, what version of windows you trying to install?

@Aryan@dragonscave.space opened this i get windows boot manager uefi network boot ipv6 and networkboot ipv4...

@TheQuinbox@dragonscave.space @jscholes@dragonscave.space the actual key is not being verbalized??

@jscholes@dragonscave.space @TheQuinbox@dragonscave.space hey, i'm not having this issue? nvda shutts up when i press control key got KB5083769 installed, windows 11 professional installed here acer aspire 14 ai arm 64 machine.

@lexipic@dragonscave.space @Lynn@mastodon.stickbear.me lucky for me, that I never thought of using the live option, i've used the be my ai feature for image discriptions of bios screens after a bit of prompting, i.e tell me what is exactly displayed on screen don't tell me about anything more than what you can see on the screen etc. worked quite well. this is a very shitty crappy move, and be my eyes really should get a hot foot on this before there brand torpeedos downwords. well more than it's allready??

@lexipic@dragonscave.space not just galaxy phones that is a univircial toggle on all or most android phones you need to enable developer options via pressing the build number 7 times

@ariadne@social.treehouse.systems @soatok@furry.engineer LoL!

@Strandjunker@mstdn.social I sure did! coffee for me is life! I don't drink anything but coffee, maybe coke this is bad is it not? who cares.

@simon@procrastodon.net what about my Sony TV (KDL-65W955B) older than your geer? yeah the smart things have become dumber but the hardware's good

@simon@procrastodon.net what are you trying to connect to? if you're a windows user you could use your wps button if you had to. if linux iwd has a way for you to connect via wps also.

@simon@procrastodon.net hmm, what about direct access via a ethernet cable?? is that possible?

@Rich@dragonscave.space @jcsteelguitars@spaceplace.jonathancandler.com you could try this from a reddit thread I found?? sc.exe create binPath= "" But the exe in question has to be capable of running as a service. It has to be a silent exe. Exe's that have monitors (gui's) that have to run probably won't load properly as a service. It also has to be designed to work with the windows subsystem if you have to pipe in parameters and data to it. I think you can add the launch parameters to it as part of the argument

@ironicbadger@techhub.social thanks for this! i've found your voice quite calming to be onist. blind and screen reader user. and a? lets hope a bit really does not flip, or i most cirtenly will be flippin a gaskit. the friendly way of saying making the air around me full of red rage. thanks again for bitflip

@FreakyFwoof@universeodon.com good man :)
