10 years ago three dudes from Sweden were hunted by FBI, Interpol and their own government for challenging copyright laws and seeking a fresh approach without ever profiting from it. 🏴‍☠️

Now venture capitalist-backed corporations will sell us our own copyrighted material at a premium. Working tirelessly to embed it in every product designed from now on so you will not be able to avoid it. 💰

@EUCommission Most of the list is easy to push low-effect crap. If you want to help for real then fight facebook and tiktok and other platforms that push algorithmic dopamine machine and gambling concepts on anyone that unlocks a screen.

@etchedpixels@mastodon.social EU does not have fair use per se, but explicitly states cases and imho overlaps well. Notable cases are use by educational institutions (where I suspect academic LLMs would go) and use related to disability (which you mentioned elsewhere).
