this is lovely. the frankfurt 787 gear collapse happened because a short king mechanic couldn't insert a pin and the tall bro just stuck it in the wrong hole
hail laurel and hardy!

@ljs@mastodonapp.uk you're fighting a good fight. my prophetic time machine (gently fondles the bong) suggests that when the fan starts rolling on full speed, the shit will start landing on very surprised faces who absolutely couldn't have known any better
but as far as exclusion from conversations go, please don't let it take a toll on you and also do not make me tap the sign
*shrieks echoing in distance*

did pete hegseth read the small print on testosterone? does he have, like, high school level understanding of endocrine system?
more muscles growth, yes, larger libido, yes, everybody knows, surely great in gentlemen only collectives
but also more generous, less submissive to authority, less us-vs-them mentality and *shock and horror* facial hair growth

@brouhaha@mastodon.social @larsbrinkhoff@mastodon.sdf.org @mhoye@cosocial.ca obvious for you, but not for people who never opened a crt let alone the generation that grew up without them:
there's two ways you can get zapped by a crt monitor: one is the capacitors. it's sort of easy to end up touching them unless you're careful when the lid is off, and they will give you a regular old everyday zapping. painful, somewhat dangerous, do not want.
another one is the glass tube itself, where you get very high voltage. will contract your muscles and throw you across the room. very painful, can kill. unlikely to happen unless you're unplugging the tube -- the electrode is protected by a rubber seal.

@Stoori@polyglot.city With cerise lips and auburn hair, crimson cloak and tunic, and details on his armour picked out in maroon and electric blue, Caesar Augustus raises his right hand in the air. He resembles, as the art historian Fabio Barry unhappily commented to the Washington Post in 2008, ‘a cross-dresser trying to hail a taxi’.

@ptesarik@infosec.exchange @ljs@mastodonapp.uk also sir, their brains not comically inflated just to host more ape ego and add confusing things to c++, at cost of wasting tremendous amount of energy, stealing from muscles to the point brachiation is lost, birth canal deformed, back hurts
it just floats in water, fish is essentilaly a brain in a vat have you considered
