@MaryAustinBooks@mstdn.social Great first step!
Have they been covered or turned off? FLOCK reportedly also collects electronic signals, so could still be harvesting and reporting specific devices like cars, cell phones, blue tooth headset
They don't need the license plate once they can tie a license plate to a particular ID for modern telemetry

@mattblaze@federate.social this is how we know Star Trek will remain science fiction
Sure, faster than light communications might happen, but reliable printers? There's no way anyone could depend on printers for food and transportation!
Plus, imagine how DNS issues could result in transporter problems like "ERROR: Planet not found"
Hope the E[KC]G results were good!

Charges against Kilmar Abrego Garcia dismissed by judge as selective and vindictive. Todd Blanche's TV interviews indicating it was vindictive and selective certainly helped clarify that decision
The most interesting thing is how Todd Blanche gave Ghislaine Maxwell leniancy and removed her sex offender status

he's not worried about age verification as the newest account on the server is 23 years old :)

@futurebird @violetmadder this fits with a cousin who retired from a high income position to be a school janitor
He loved it, wished he'd retired years earlier
Making a difference for the kids. Being a reliable resource to help the teachers so they could concentrate on teaching. Those were invaluable to him.
It helped that he had a retirement to supplement pay as school staff and teachers don't get paid squat where he was working

@yaelwrites a 2% wealth tax on the dragons could pay for school lunches AND renovating the public spaces in the dungeons

@osnews Why and how does Adobe have access to change protected files?
It shouldn't have access to /etc/hosts or the raw disk

@SordidAmok@mastodon.social @Daojoan@mastodon.social Saw an interview with Christopher Lee where he said he was one of the few actors in the movies who'd read LotR before working on the movies and that he re-read it every year

@petergleick@fediscience.org they have only two backbones between them, they pass the backbones around and pretend to take moral stands in insufficient numbers to do anything
the backbones are made out of stale peeps, so still not very stiff

@tompearce49@mastodon.scot worried about the "could've been books" burning stove in the foreground, but otherwise that looks awesome

Saw Spring Street a few weeks ago, then Springsteen the next week. Both put on a good show, but Springsteen's was like a rally with famous musicians

Devin Nunes' Cattle Dog post somewhere else has a picture of Pete Hegseth at a podium saying, "The problem with Iran is it spends money on weapons and missiles instead of improving life for their people."
The cattle dog remarks, "Self awareness of a potato"

screen capture of something Robert Reich posted elsewhere
----
A tax season reminder that Intuit TurboTax lobbied the government for years to block free public tax-filing.
Trump then terminated the free IRS Direct File program established under Biden, just a ear after the tax prep giant gave his inauguration fund $1M.
Do you see how this works?

Thank you for what you do!

Robert Reich post from another service:
----
Corporate profits have hit record hights. CEOs are paid 290x as much as a typical worker.
Many corporations are raking it in while paying lousy wages -- leaving their workers to make ends meet.
But instead of cracking down on corporate greed, Republicans want to punish he working poor by cutting Medicaid and food assistance.

Also, did he order that the government provide adequate health care in the interim?

@nicolesandler@mstdn.social OK, I can do that if the ticket is still available, it's for next Thursday, the 16th, in downtown Phx?
