@futurebird Someone recently used term "Augmenting Intelligence" and I thought it describes much better.

@VoltEuropa@mstdn.social It's important to remember that there is a temperature where roots of plants will simply die. For these areas the future is to turn into a desert.

@gerrymcgovern@mastodon.green In general the heat from datacenters is low-quality and there is too little of it to run industrial processes, but district heating networks are versatile and can use it:

Notes to self: if you are writing a strongly worded letter to someone, make first sure that the recipient can read and will read the letter.

@shadows@beige.party @renardboy@mastodon.social @thomasfuchs@hachyderm.io I don't think there is budget for that scale of things, but the curves definately point into that direction.

@d_rift@beige.party @ai6yr@m.ai6yr.org I cannot predict the future, but Debian Chromium build (vs. Google Chrome build) has bunch of stuff disabled and non-existing. I don't have " OptGuideOnDeviceModel" - directory on any installation here.

@david_chisnall The logistics sector here is adopting electric trucks at accelerating rate. These are 40 to 60 ton vehicles that move the stuff to grocery stores etc. They typically do two driver shifts per day. Interesting thing is that this is all beancounter operations and it's the cheaper option.
Replying to
@futurebird Godd point, there is also the question that can there be intelligence without identity?

@gerrymcgovern@mastodon.green The reason why closed loop cooling systems are not used is that it's a bit more expensive. I mean we do run nuclear power plants in deserts and all places.
