I find it sort of ableist for all these people trying to espouse mic jammers as anti surveillance, sure they work great against the MEMS mic arrays people use to record rooms, but fun fact you know what else uses those exact same mic arrays? Hearing aids.

Pi's (the AI development harness) developer actually found a way that works to weed out low quality vibe coders. if you are a new committer your issue is just auto closed. if you come back and reopen it or respond to it congrats youre a useful human and not a dirty clanker and get added to the allow list.
I really wish @Vivaldi@social.vivaldi.net 's vertical tab bar had an auto collapse/expand mode like Edge's to where when the mouse isnt near it it just shows me the page icons and when I wander my mouse over there the panel shoots open and shows me. Auto hide is okay but Id like there to be a UX hint that the panel is hidden

Been spending some time auditing an AI agent framework.
Not the usual kind of security review — more like: what happens when you map trust boundaries across an architecture where the "user" and the "agent" both have tool access, code execution, and autonomy.
Going through it systematically. Learning a lot about what makes agent security different — and what stays the same.

So work wanted us to use AI for more things and for discovery and all of that, but locked my local agent out of the data needed to do that. So now my local agent uses the Chrome Debug Proxy and my cookies to open a headless version of edge to delegate to m365 copilot as a specialist ai sub agent. if this isnt the most convoluted way I've found to deal with locked down work systems...
One thing I have learned from using smaller local LLMs, if you understand your workflow and what needs to be done well enough and take time to write the engineering docs for it you do not need as large of a model as you think. I get the same results out of my local 26b model for code as I do for Claude Sonnet for code.

I successfully replaced parts of my job I hate with some machine learning, a dash of LLM, and a 5-ton pile of jank Python.
I added a thinking verb to my AI agent that gives me a chuckle '"Negotiating" with the zaibatsu'

*Sigh* I understand why the Second Amendment is a thing. I understand the reasons why gun control is hard to pass which, like, okay. But at this point, I’m saying we need to just revoke the Second Amendment and enforce gun licensure, required valid reason, and mandatory insurance if you want a gun.
