Our village badge this year has a hidden feature (eastern eggs are cool) and as I was putting this together, I discovered that Joe had made something that would go so well with what the plan was.
We don’t talk a ton, but we are in some chats together. So I reached out to get his blessing, and being the good dude that he is, he enthusiastically said yes.
So now we have some Kingpin code running on the badge, and that’s pretty cool.

Ok. One of my favorite things about hackers on is the dogged persistence involved with twisting tech to your will.
This weekend was a lot of that.
Total badge rebuild to accommodate a workflow broken due to client isolation.
This little badge board just hated the idea of being both a AP and a STA at the same time.
Not anymore.
But that was a deep dive in drivers and reverse engineering.
It works now.
