@NVAccess@fosstodon.org Any chance the remote for NVDA can have presets? I connect to one particular server a lot and using one keystroke to connect would be easier than arrowing down, hitting alt+K, then using the key. Most people might not want this for security reasons, but I figure it useful.

@Cassana@pagan.plus I'm a screen reader user, and I'm surprised accessibility and alt text are getting all this attention from the sighted world here on Mastodon. On other, corporately owned social networks sometimes it feels like we're an afterthought honestly.

@NVAccess@fosstodon.org That version, as well as the one before it, eats up RAM like crazy on Win 7 X64. Within 24 hours, NVDA uses more than a GB of ram and within 2 days it becomes unresponsive, but luckily restarting NVDA puts ram back to normal levels. I'd say the RAM goes up a few hundred kb in 20 seconds. https://github.com/nvaccess/nvda/issues/14499

@jamminjerry@dragonscave.space @NVAccess@fosstodon.org You're on Windows 7? I also tried it with addons disabled. Maybe it's something else, but the ram count for NVDA keeps going up in task manager for me.

Fixed it, had to redownload the file from the internet and paste it into the system32 folde0r.

@TheQuinbox@dragonscave.space Could you enable an option in the settings to change the two for less advanced users? You could call it "Enable JAWS support with Braille Displays".

@TheQuinbox That sounds fun, I remember playing with one in elementary school. But I have no need for it now. It's funny their headphone jacks are only on the left channel.

@MayAnderson2022@dragonscave.space I agree honestly. Just because my parents taught me what's junk food and what's healthy. Junk food sure is good, but you have to know when to stop/balance it with healthy food. If being fat wasn't so unhealthy for people, I'd say go ahead do what you want. But obesity causes all sorts of problems later in life, so not a good place to be in the grand scheme of things. You might disagree though, and everyone has a right to an opinion.

Followup to my previous post, I hate NameCheap right now and will probably look into transferring my domain to Linode when I get into my account. If they can't be reliable, that's that.
