Alternativ zu den ganzen beschriebenen Hindernissen kann man aber auch seine wichtigsten Sachen (Daten) auf Werbe - USB Sticks (Nulltarif) oder USB Billigsticks (unter 5 €) sichern.
Und dafür kann man Freeware Software nehmen. Die gibt es für Linux sogar mit GUI und einer Anleitung zum Lernen. Zum Beispiel hier - apps.gnome.org/de/DejaDup/
So eine Minimallösung hat den Vorteil, dass die Lernkurve flach und kurz ist, dass die Kosten insgesamt unter 5 € liegen können und die Hausarbeit, Studienarbeit, persönliche Daten, Texte und sogar Fotos und Zeichnungen, Skizzen usw. als Backup da sind.
