Ethical arguments aside, all the software that I use (or used to use) where the devs have embraced LLMs for development seem to have significantly declined in quality and stability.

@zzt@mas.to In related news, the price of finger quotes has risen by 17000% as all future production has been reserved for placement around 'open' and 'secure' there.

@masek@infosec.exchange I do the same, my main motivation was to be able to block addresses (inevitably) leaked by the services. Address is usually based on the service in question, which reduces your first advantage, but does have a nice side bonus of occasionally leading to interesting discussions 'Wait, you work here?!' 'Er no, i just have an address per company i deal with' 'oooh, how does that work?'. Forcing a central account is definitely a no-go.

Yegads from which of the circles of hell did the UPS website spawn.
'need additional address details for delivery', 'sign up for My Choice to edit details', 'your address cannot be validated', 'my choice is not available in your region', 'error: your account is already connected', 'you can't continue unless you sign up', 'need additional address details for delivery'.
I need some support from @scream@bots.robots.rodeo for this.

@revk@toot.me.uk because most people don't know that a qr code is just some text in reliably scannable form. They think it's some complicated magic thing that requires Services.

@paul_ipv6@infosec.exchange don't see that option, and the account i created has now locked me out. I've given up. Funny thing is that if it had just said "it's hot, don't know exact delivery date" I'd have been fine with it, but now I'm so annoyed that i might never buy at a shop that uses UPS again

@sash aah, tls_config_name, that's the one, thanks! Back at 100% now :)
Ugh. Postfix has a weird combination of way too many options, and apparently not enough yet...
btw, for those not aware of the peculiarities of openssl.cnf, your sample snippet there does emit the 'postfix = postfix_settings' line (probably since it'll be at the start somewhere)

@raiderrobert@mastodon.social i see tests and their coverage more of a way to check for soundness and completeness, and not so much as a measure of quality itself. There's also efficiency and subsidiarity (if that's the term; does it not do things outside its stated goals) to consider, i reckon

Now THIS in a disclosure: sample exploit you can test (arg, it works indeed), updates on patches, AND what to do to mitigate until patched. Kudos. Also: eek. https://copy.fail

Indeed, it's a matter of malicious compliance more than bad lawmaking. Sites could also have banners that are not from some tracking third party.
Though the ePrivacy regulation definitely could be improved, by enforcing that 'do not track' (and perhaps 'track me plenty') settings are followed without any further interaction. And they should start to bust the dark patterns so prevalent in this space.

@Brendanjones really? The smallest amount i could choose to go to OC was 10% for monthly donations to my mastodon instance. But OC failed to charge my creditcard anyway, so i ended up doing a direct bank transfer each month, so that's 0% :)
