A few months ago, a Canadian judge got her #amazon , #google , #uber, credit cards accounts, etc. closed.
She was doing her job investigating war crimes made in Afghanistan, including by the #USA
That offended Americans. They decided to close all her accounts, which they have control over.
I'm expecting this behavior to become more and more common.
This is why #canada should work on #digitalsovereignty
Alright, I just moved to my new #mastodon instance fraxoweb.social.
Compared to the last one where I was solo #selfhosting ,
I'm going to allow people to join this new one.
For now, the goal is to be Canadian mastodon instance where both #french and #english is used and accepted. #canada
We'll see how that goes.

A few weeks ago, I created this #mastodon instance fraxoweb.social
And I'd also like to create more federated instances with open registrations:
- #matrix
- #peertube
- #pixelfed
- #flohmarkt
- etc.
But I don't really like promoting/advertising my stuff, and nobody joined so far.
I'm wondering if I should actively promoting it, even if I don't like it.
In a way, nobody will join any instance, if nobody know they exist.
Or maybe I'm just wasting of time and money.
Instead of buying your video games on #steam
Buy from #gog when you can
Not only GOG is based in #poland (and not the USA)
But the games that they have are DRM-free.
You're not purchasing a license linked to an account that can get closed/banned at any moment.
It means you actually own the games that you're buying for real.
Steam has a much bigger catalogue though.

I'm glad that I started learning how to #cook these last few years.

And save time if you cook in bulk.
I did some rough maths,
Depending on the recipe, every meal costs me around 1$ to 3$ each.

In the last weeks/months, I've been using #PikaOS linux distro (both #kde and #cosmic)
Mostly because it has #nvidia drivers pre-installed. But I experienced a few issues and bugs
I think I'm done trying unknown distros
I recently learned that #ZorinOS can also come with nvidia so I think I'll try it
Zorin is well known and developed in #ireland
I wish I could find a good distro with Nvidia made in #canada
But, at least it's not coming from the USA. That's why I don't use Pop_OS anymore

I just received the t-shirt sample that I ordered from #printeez 5 days ago.
The design looks nice and well printed.
But it did not print some of the gradients/transparencies that my original image has.
It's a #gildan 5000 and it feels a bit rough to the touch. We'll see if it gets softer over time.
If I ever start my own #merch website, I'll probably use this supplier.
Printeez is based close to where I live.
I'm someone that usually prefers being alone.
Being with people can sure be fun, but you have to keep compromising to make everybody happy.
Sometimes, that includes bad actors.
By being independent, it gives you the freedom to do what you want whenever you want.
