There's this little wild rabbit that likes to hang out in the back yard here, and it's been doing so for quite a while now.
Every time the critter is brought up in conversation, I often say "good thing I'm well fed, otherwise it might end up becoming lunch." 
Of course, my roommate loves to quip back, and today she fired off a "Yeah, I'll just have to toss a pack of drumsticks at you instead." :blobfoxcrylaugh:

Okay, I'm mostly packed up. Just waiting on my tails to drip-dry after applying some rubber shine to them, then that should be everything! 
I've got my clothes picked out for tomorrow, as well as getting my tech stuff sorted out. I spent a couple hours getting an OpenVPN server stood up on my firewall and verifying I can remote into my home LAN. I even got screenshots of my con reg barcode, my confirmation text for my Moonlight Festival reservation and other such info that won't be easily accessible without an internet connection, which are also saved to my laptop just in case, hehe~
I even checked in for my flight and hotel room via the app, and made sure to provide the necessary permissions for mobile room key stuff to work. Hopefully I don't forget something this time! :blobfoxlul:

Putting down a controlled amount of heptane with just the moistened bristles helps it curl less, but it's still gonna curl. Ah, that's a good idea with the microfiber cloths. As long as all the old glue was cleaned off and everything was prepped well, it should hold up fairly well. Hoping for the best! :blobfoxheart:

@gemini0 If you do learn how, I'd love to know, too. Most phones in North America are locked down with no way to unlock them, especially if the phone is still being paid off under contract with the carrier.
It might be easier to just sell the phone you have and import an international version instead. Not a great option, but it is an option.

So many of their latest videos are exposes on the "RAM cartel" and other bullshit going on. It's like they saw the numbers on their videos exposing corporate shadiness going on and are caught in the vicious cycle of video metrics.
I used to respect their journalistic integrity, but it looks like they sold out a while ago by now :blobfoxsad:

@lusrangifer@blimps.xyz Sounds like they ran off with the AI generated description of the Gamer's Nexus video on this situation. It's way more nuanced than "you're not going to be allowed to own a WiFi router and you'll be required to rent it from your ISP". While Steve did touch on those points in the video, it was deliberately worded to be "this very likely might happen" and not "this is definitely happening".
The way the current law is worded, it's so fucking vague and misses the core of the issue entirely, which is apparently "national security" of "consumer routers".
There's no contingency for the "foreign made" routers already in circulation, or finding the means of incentivizing US production of routers instead. All they're doing is allowing retailers to sell off their remaining stock and giving a cutoff date in 2027 for such devices to receive security updates. Much like many of the laws this congress has pushed out, they're downright stupid.
