@fesshole@mastodon.social Unfortunately, what we need is a way to rickroll people who DON’T use headphones.

@odin@mastodon.gamedev.place @vivianrose@mastodon.social Safari too!

@Geri @stavvers Also would have required some planning but I was thinking rubber ant masks. “Take us to your QUEEN!”

@foone@digipres.club Self censorship that early? It’s quaint though it’s for *a* virus. If only the world was so simple.

@cabel At least the card isn’t tappable anymore. Tapping it *changed your address*? What were they high on with that one? Such an insane design change from 18.

@BobWilliams@mindly.social @StaceyCornelius@zeroes.ca It is indeed far better.

@lisamelton@mastodon.social When you take a break, you should take a cue from what podcasts and non-fiction TV shows do: The Best of Lisa Melton Boosts. Have a script to re-boost classic boosts from the past lol. Enjoy the break. I have no idea how you’re able to do it.

@Gargron@mastodon.social Faming went through a similar pallet in the early 2000s. I’m glad that passed. And I know how you feel. It may be part of why I like animation so much, it hasn’t been hit so hard with browning. It’s so great when a movie has colors that really pop. Yeah a movie about a guy trapped in the middle of the Sahar or Death Valley is going to be low on color. NY, LA, Minneapolis, other real cities have colors.

@bloognoo@retro.pizza @davidgerard@circumstances.run Wow I gotta remember that one.

@hannah 🤦‍♂️ They can’t possibly be that dumb can they? (Yes I know)

@stavvers Speak all sentences backwards. Would only have required some practice.

@grumpydad@infosec.exchange @geerlingguy@mastodon.social Prusa has been great for a really long time, support their printers well, and offer upgrades when possible. You could have upgraded a MK3 to a CoreOne+ through upgrade kits over time if you wanted though it would be the printer of Theseus by the end. I’ve got an INDX on order for my CoreOne+.

@bagder@mastodon.social “Now most of these reports are correct, to the point that we had to bring in more maintainers to help us.” Well that’s good to see. At least it’s not the 100% made up garbage anymore. Rough situation. Maybe this is where 2 levels of people would help? First for general + find dupes, second for bigger/trickier, passed on from first? IDK. Such a sea change. Going to be interesting to see how the world sorts all this out.

@cmconseils Why does no one use NFC tags? At least then you don’t have to fight the camera. Still terrible compared to what has worked for… all time until recently.

@inthehands@hachyderm.io Thank you for mentioning Safari. I know it’s not an option for everyone due to platform/preferences, but it’s such a fantastic browser and so many dismiss it outright.

@cR0w My company switched from Google tools to 365 and Teams. The peasants are close to revolt.

@brentsimmons I really like Swift. And the compilation time doesn’t bother me much (though I remember how much faster Objective-C was). The debugger latency is just a joke though. I still ❤️ Objective-C and always will.

@caspercdn@mstdn.social @benaar@mastodon.social Quarts would be easier. Litres would cause people’s heads to explode. Honestly quarts probably would too.

@Gargron@mastodon.social Native speaker: I think you’re right. Though I have seen warnings recently about “new translation” editions on Amazon that are just LLM trash.

@hannah Isn’t a giant sheet of Reynold’s Wrap kind of a big lightning risk?

@vgarzareyna @johnefrancis @molly0xfff That needs to be a bad sci-fi movie. It’s like the fly, only instead of mixing with a fly it’s a DNA sequence accidentally typed in by the person’s cat.

@mi @burger @masklayer Good catch. C. ant kind of B is an affront to my dignity. (Now I want full sized B on one)

@bagder I like it better.

@Migueldeicaza OT: I never noticed my user icon shows up on the search bar in Apple Maps. I saw it on yours, thought “that’s not right”, and checked. Sure enough, my icon is there.

@lexfri Tough, but tons of fun. Had a minor issue: after submitting it was hard to update my answer on my phone because every time the timer ticked the cursor position would change to the end of the field again. More importantly: I won a full game!

@dmoren@zeppelin.flights Moonraker. Did I do it right?

@Migueldeicaza NodaTime? That’s cute, I’m guessing that’s based (conceptually) on JodaTime, the Java library that then became the basis of the modern Java date/time classes and is serving as a big inspiration of the JS types?

@Gte @marioguzman I was in PCs at the time. I waited *years* for some case manufacturers to copy the fold out idea, and they never did. At least not before I gave up on build your own. I had already resigned myself to an ugly beige box thing. That wasn’t going to change. Those machines amazed me.

@lexfri Grey square. Grey square. Yellow square…..

@ra6bit@infosec.exchange When dealing with older people do you ever ack like you “pick up” on their “memory issues” and start treating them that way? If they were doing that to me I don’t think I could stop myself. I bet it would drive them nuts. Not in your situation. I’m so sorry they do that to you.

@Gargron@mastodon.social You said you’re using the AE-1 again after using a Pentax(?) for a year or so. How do they compare for you? Anything you especially like on one or the other?

@film_girl Family member recently had their iPad corrupted. The backups? Also corrupt. So if you restored it it’d go into a boot loop. No solution but to start from scratch. They had been carying the install since iPad 1. All their icons in their favorite spots, preferences, etc. Devastated. I didn’t even know it was possible beforehand.

@CARROT@mastodon.social I take it this is a threat?

@matt@maddux.blog Yes! Passkeys: 👍 Passkeys + MFA: 🙄 Passkeys + password: 🤦‍♂️

@burger @masklayer I have one that has A on one side and B on the other. It was hard to find.

@alvaro Thanks for the explanation. I deal with a few devices that act like this and it’s always a huge pain.

@sanzky@masto.es @fj@mastodon.social As an American the ranger is tiny. There are bigger trucks than the F-150. But even compared to that it’s tiny. I’m NOT defending it. I want these monstrosities off our roads so I can see again and not feel like I’m going to be crushed by buildings. Hold strong.

@alacriiity@infosec.exchange Really? It’s never felt slow to me at all.

@sil@mastodon.social You’re truly evil. I’m up to 48.

@gvwilson Was that aimed at a person or an idea? I could see it easily fitting with both.

@christianselig@mastodon.social How about how the play button doesn’t play the video? Gets me constantly.

@dk @rmondello For things that don’t make sense to be in Passwords, you could use secure notes in the Notes app.
