No such thing as “independent teams” on a single project. Just uncoordinated teams.
Soon they’ll realise that and will waste soooo much time building a structure to re coordinate…

… the advanced features of the camera button (swipe + different pressure level) are unusable. It’s far too small a surface to do such precise motor control into multi level menus, especially when rushing to take a photo. An obvious miss that better designers should have anticipated.

The camera is fantastic, and having such a zoom level (8x optical*, 40x digital) is transformative. I use the tele very often to get natural kids shot that wouldn’t be possible if I had to stand right next to them, or for nature shot.
Why does Firefox Software update suddenly wants to scan my local network, and prevents Firefox to update/launch if I refuse?
Really hope there is a good reason, that is not “so mozilla can fingerprint you and track you…”

I've said it before but the “average" screens in Apple weather are fantastic to understand how messed up the climate is.

I'm curious about total all time demand. Why is the graph up so much for 2026? Simply because it's extrapolating based on high demand winter months? Or real increase?
Otherwise interesting the demand is trending down despite more usage put on the grid (heat pumps, EV…)

… the camera control button is not that useful. I’ve got the pick up phone/swipe right gesture drilled in me from the last 15+ years, but the button is handy when that gesture won’t work: when you’re already in an app, or the lock screen is taken over by Maps.

@firefoxwebdevs@mastodon.social Thanks, that's great to hear. Latest mac os 26.4.1. Firefox started the autoupdate, required the admin password to instal a “helper” ? then requested permission to “find devices on local network”. When denied, install couldn't continue, app wouldn't launch. Had to manually redownlaod the app. Now working wo the permission prompt.
