Bad advice from an Aussie dept:
Best cure for arachnophobia is to be bitten by them (there's only 2 species here that can kill you, you learn those pretty quickly) I've racked up at least a half dozen unintentional bites. 2 of those were from huntsmen & they're not even worth worrying about. Uncomfortable? A bit. Itchy? Yes. Painful? Nah, not particularly.
It basically ends up as "oh, is that all you can do? I'm not scared of that."

Yeah, I suspect somebody has been putting the hard sell on the big boss because it's been a sudden push.
There have been many emails politely explaining pitfalls in the plan & questions have been raised. I'm lucky enough to be in a position to be heard, but whether I'm listened to remains to be seen! 🤞

I don't know if this helps or not but..
German would be my (very distant) 3rd language. I avoid using translation wherever possible to keep my neurons whirring & actually learn more by doing it this way. I'll translate a word here & there when it's unfamiliar to me or I can't figure it out from the context.
