Went camping. Rode bikes along rivers. Cooked outdoors. Napped midday. Read. Swam. Enjoyed waterfalls. Went to a music festival. Ate tacos. Made cocktails. All with my best friend my wife. Good mini vacation.

I remember the days when we ran out of new internet to read.
This boy can play.
In 2012, someone inside of Meta must have written down every possible way Instagram could ruin itself as a photo-sharing app and made that the product roadmap.
My daily routine.
Expect lots of models. https://cdevroe.com/2026/07/01/models-models-everywhere/
I wish the Artemis II crew took 100 little satellites with excellent cameras with them and left them orbiting the moon so we could have near realtime view from there at all times.
@JoshHrach@iosdev.space haptic feedback in @Countr@indieapps.space widget please. Useful. Don’t need to look down to make sure I hit the button.

Highly recommend Fat Gold, co-owned by Robin Sloan.

Why buy one when you can buy two? (Image from 2006)
First slowly, then all at once... the agentweb will dwarf the humanweb in short order.
I wrote about what I see happening with all apps, SaaS products, cloud services, and protocols.
@atpfm@mastodon.social I never thought of the npm fund list as an ad until @siracusa@mastodon.social mentioned it. And now I can't unsee it as that. That's it, I don't have any conclusions.
I agree with Jon. Getting started in developing black and white film? Use D-76. It is easy.

@tedmielczarek@mastodon.social First of all, sir, a live view of the moon?! But, secondly, there impacts fairly often. And we sometime capture some blurry images of them. I would like very high quality video of all of them because… I also want to know what is going on there all the time? Surely there is a party there now and then?
A family member is giving away this Robertson Meteorite (such a cool name) enlarger. If you’re anywhere near northeastern Pennsylvania and want it please let me know.

@lisamelton agree with this. I’ve never been upset if people don’t follow or unfollow me.

Mark all as read - I no longer feel as though I need to read every single post across all of the networks, accounts, and people that I follow. It feels good.

Some example Smart Actions that I use. The quick action is likely my favorite. Speeds me up.

@escapistes@neopaquita.es @luftvaffel@oslo.town @gnome@floss.social How does someone install a Gnome Circle app like Apostrophe?
Replying to
@Chris@mastodon.social My goal would be to have a single controller. I realize it may not be ideal though.
@kasparsd Copy the contents, erase the block, paste it back in as a paragraph with no style?

@escapistes@neopaquita.es @luftvaffel@oslo.town @gnome@floss.social My system's app store (Ubuntu) did not have it! So that is why I asked. I will research flathub. Never heard of it.

@kasparsd I hope it works well for you.
I was reluctant to use spaces for a while because I couldn’t get them to work the way that I wanted to. But then I just pushed through and now I have 3 dedicated spaces for the 3 contexts for when I use my computer and now I can’t imagine going back.
The tipping point was with Safari profiles and being logged into everything in each space. Then @zhenyi and I created Switcheroo (a simple custom browser window chooser) and that was that.

I really enjoy planning out food and drink for Kentucky Derby day each year based on recipes from Hubbub customers. 😊 🏇
This saves an enormous amount of time and money. Do it.

@ross@crikey.social I think you're right. But I think that a new protocol that dynamically writes the UI will appear. Each user, each task, each context all deserve their own useful, usable UI. So, natural language + dynamic UI.
(All of these things are yet to be created, but are coming soon, I think.)
Replying to
@clarko@mastodon.social that first one is insanity inducing
side note: I use 3 spaces... and somehow only recently discovered that you can mark an app to be available on all desktops. And it is awesome!
Replying to
@Chris@mastodon.social I’ve been shopping for a single controller that would let me play games on the Mac and my iOS devices. I’d like to also travel with it. I haven’t found what that device yet. (But I have zero experience)

@kasparsd could add one step to create an entirely new space just for this and open the apps you need there (rather than needing to close or hide or move the other apps you had open)

@nickheer@c.im I agree. But I think I’m still glad they do ask so often?
