Catsup is a reusable grocery list. The whole point of the app is that you don’t want bought items to disappear. You want to slide a knob, go buy bread, then slide the knob back.
All the toggles, buttons, and even the separators are crappily hand-drawn. The font is my handwriting.

If you add .json to a Reddit URL, you get the data for that page in JSON format.
So here's a free app idea: a Safari extension that parses that data and builds a mobile‑friendly Reddit webpage. One that doesn't block you or kick you to their mobile app. (This is also basically how my Lucky app works.)
Axolotls are adult salamanders that never go through metamorphosis. They retain their juvenile traits like external gills and a finned tail, but they are still able to reproduce.

@lucaslove@chaos.social @jonmsterling@mathstodon.xyz the growth hackers on Twitter optimize for week #1 numbers. If you measure success like that you'll panic, conclude it's not working, and start doing things that ruin your positioning.
(IMO if you're going to do it, do it 100%. Don't ship a tasteful product and then market it like a hustler 😬)

@lucaslove@chaos.social @jonmsterling@mathstodon.xyz yeah the slowdown is scary. But when I said slow, I wasn't even talking about 6 months, I was talking about like… 5 years. Think about how long it took for Sparkle itself to become the industry standard

@lucaslove@chaos.social this "marketing" method is slower and less measurable than normal SaaS marketing. You cannot point to a campaign and say "this generated 200 signups". But I think it's the right approach for this product. But it requires A LOT of patience 🫠

@lucaslove@chaos.social probably not what you want to hear, but Amore targets indie Mac developers and they generally don't swarm to new products.
Like, maybe someone reads about Amore, doesn't sign up, but mentions it to a friend 3 months later who's about to launch an app
> be me
> no restaurant experience
> don’t even know how to cook
> decide to open a restaurant anyway
> brag about it online
> have no concept of food safety
> customer eats and gets food poisoning
> jump on social media to defend myself
> “guys, it’s not my fault that the kitchen has a rat infestation. It's the rats’ fault”

@exiva@social.lol are you using Extract instead of Vinegar? Extract doesn't have the audio-only option.
