I live in Ohio with a cat and boyfriend. I like computers, books, music, games, long walks on a beach and riding a bike.

I automatically like and favorite every single photograph friends post to commemorate first days of school, Halloween costumes, and graduations. It's automatic joy. I was not prepared for the emotions getting a text and snapshot from the pet hospital that Edie made it through her last treatment. You can bet I sent this photo to friends & fam through texts, and now I'm sharing it here.

@morrick@appdot.net @aegir@toot.wales What Riccardo said! Also, I too have shrunk, so I'm adding feelings of commiseration to that line item.

Laura LiPuma was responsible for the Prince's Purple Rain, Around the World in a Day, Parade and Lovesexy album art.

I love each and every one of those releases for the music and her designs.

I'd like to think Prince would have approved of this Purple Rain inspired basketball available at the Paisley Park gift shop that I saw the other day and now regret not buying.

We went to the mall to shoot our holiday card. These are the outtakes. Thanks to R.Ring for the tunes & Mateus Hwang for the inspiration.

If I can open the phone to do a task that requires remembering say, three words or 6 numbers and complete said task, I consider this a big win.

I posted a link on my site, but this music video is so good I need to share it twice. It's long, stick with it.

@octothorpe Absolutely, all of that! Me? I want toolbars that don't cover up my junk, have a bunch of drop shadows and spaz out between light and dark. Oh, and icons that aren't trapped in a squircle. (To name a few things.) I think these notions would work great across platforms.

Of all my loathing of Apple's Liquid Glass, this video was an aha of understanding why UI unification across platforms was prudent. (Which I'm all for, I just wished it was way better.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sVVPnBFIi_o

Replying to

@ashur@front-end.social I wished my setup was more exciting. I write in the Wordpress block editor, preview in a new tab, then edit from that tab and forget, making changes before overwriting them from the original tab. That said, I just bought a domain for a work project and used Cloudflare which has a rudimentary feature where you drag a folder of HTML through the browser and deploy. Got me _very_ intrigued by modern workflows and your description is most helpful to see!

Replying to

@rjkwon@mastodon.social 1. That box is DREAMY. 2. I have Qs: Does it sharpen well? Do you need to hold it down with one hand while you crank with the other? I remember old sharpeners that had cruddy suction cups or vice grips.
